Building Maintenance Officer - Plumber
Permanent full-time
38 hour a week
Rostered day off every fortnight
Salary: $72,898.54 - $84,719.70 + 12% Superannuation per annum
We are looking for a qualified Plumber to join our team. While plumbing expertise is essential, candidates with additional gas fitting qualifications will be highly regarded. What You'll Do
Reporting to the Team Leader Building Maintenance, you’ll deliver high-quality plumbing maintenance, repairs, and minor works across Council-owned buildings and facilities. You’ll also carry out general building maintenance tasks aligned with your skills and competencies.
This role plays a key part in ensuring Council facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant standards. You’ll provide responsive service delivery, demonstrate pride in workmanship, and follow Council procedures to support the community’s everyday use of Council assets. While plumbing expertise is essential, candidates with additional gas fitting qualifications will be highly regarded.

What You'll Need To Succeed (Essential Criteria)
Current trade qualification as a plumber with relevant licensing and endorsementsDemonstrated experience in building maintenance or facilities based plumbing worksAbility to safely undertake general maintenance tasks within competencySound knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations and WHS requirementsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a teamCompetence using mobile devices and digital work management systemsCurrent Medium Rigid (MR) Driver’s licence or willing to obtain within 3 months of employment and Construction Induction (White Card)
Other Requirements
Be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical prior to commencementComplete immunisation record of Hepatitis A, B and Tetanus or willingness to obtainParticipate in on-call roster and overtime (where applicable)
