Southport Golf Club is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Casual cook/kitchenhand and first or second year apprentice to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for food and a strong work ethic, who can work independently and maintain high standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Location: Southport, QLD
Hours: 20-30 hours per week (mainly daytime hours, with occasional evening work for functions)
Availability: Must be available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at a minimum

What We’re Looking For:

• 1-3 years’ minimum experience in a similar role

• Ability to work unsupervised and be able to cook basic foods

• Experience in golf clubs, cafes, or similar venues is highly regarded

• Strong time management and multitasking skills

• A positive attitude and ability to work well in a small, collaborative team

• Good  verbal communication skills and good presentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage stock piles in sandwich section

• Maintain dishes to a minimum in the dishwashing section

• Make and prepare sandwiches and light meals

• Maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment

• Ensure to work at fast pace in busy periods
