Dispatch Clerk / Stock Controller – West Gosford

This role is hands-on and varied – from pick packing and dispatching orders, to managing stock levels, monitoring reorder points, and assisting with light assembly of components. The right candidate will bring a strong background in automotive parts, with an eye for detail and proven experience in stock control and dispatch operations.

Automotive knowledge is essential – if you know what an alternator looks like and understand the difference between a cam cover and a sump, you might be the ideal fit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Manage the receipt of goods, stock levels, reorder points, and kanban processes.

  • Assist in light assembly of components where required.

  • Ensure stock is correctly recorded and maintained in our ERP system (Odoo).

  • Maintain organized workflows for packing, labeling, and dispatching.

  • Generate reports, track KPIs, and support inventory control using spreadsheets and ERP tools.

  • Keep the warehouse safe, clean, and well-organized, in line with WHS standards.

  • Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

  • Assist and label components/kits with barcoded parts labels

Key Requirements:

  • Automotive knowledge: Thorough understanding of automotive parts and terminology.

  • Stock control skills: Experience with reorder points, kanban, and modern inventory practices.

  • Systems experience: Prior use of ERP/stock control systems (Odoo experience highly regarded).

  • Technical skills: Strong computer proficiency, especially with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).

  • Work ethic: Ability to work at pace in a busy warehouse environment while maintaining accuracy.

  • Physical capability: Ability to lift and move boxes as required.

  • Licenses: Forklift license preferred.

  • Transport: Must hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transport.
