Peninsula Assessment & Therapy Services (PATHS), established in 1997, is a well-regarded private practice in Mount Eliza. We offer a comprehensive range of psychological services, including assessment, therapeutic intervention/counselling, and educational support to children, adolescents, their families, and schools.

At PATHS we encourage a multidimensional approach which considers all areas of children's development to help them to feel safe, engaged, supported and appropriately challenged while considering the whole child and the environments in which they live and learn. We support children and adolescents with their learning, mental health and relationships by working collaboratively with families, schools, health and medical services.

About the Role:

  • Primary Focus: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adolescents (including cognitive, neuro-developmental, and psycho-educational assessments).

  • Scope for Therapy: Opportunity to provide therapeutic interventions as required, based on client needs and your areas of interest/expertise.

  • Client Base: Children and adolescents presenting with a range of neuro-developmental, learning, and emotional concerns.

About the Role:

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in psychology, including full registration with AHPRA/Psychology Board of Australia. Professional membership is desirable

  • Current Working with Children Check (Victoria)

  • Eligibility for a Medicare provider number

  • Own ABN and professional indemnity insurance

  • Well-developed assessment and therapeutic skills, including experience in the assessment and support of neurodevelopmental presentations (e.g., autism, ADHD, intellectual and developmental disabilities) and treatment of anxiety and depression in children and adolescents. Differential diagnostic skills are desirable, or willingness to undertake training

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including report writing

  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and ongoing professional development

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Additional Information:

  • Preference will be given to Educational and Developmental Psychologists, but applications from General and Clinical Psychologists are welcome

  • Open to applications from recently fully registered psychologists with relevant placements and a willingness to learn. Mentoring, support and some supervision can be provided
