The Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking motivated, skilled, and compassionate Pharmacists (Full-time, Part-time, and Casual) to join their dynamic team as a Rotational Clinical Pharmacist Level 1/2.
About The Opportunity
This opportunity offers a chance to be part of a leading healthcare service within CCLHD, where you will contribute to the safe and effective use of medications to improve patient outcomes. As a pharmacist in this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support clinical pharmacy tasks, and ensure patients receive optimal medication management and care.
In this role, you will provide structured clinical pharmacy services within the defined practice areas of clinical, dispensary, and production teams.
You will be responsible for reviewing, validating, dispensing, compounding, and checking medicines according to local guidelines and training standards.
Your role will involve evaluating individual patient therapies, participating in quality use of medicines initiatives, and engaging in departmental projects to optimise medication practices. You will also be actively involved in advancing your professional knowledge through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities, and contribute to the achievement of team goals and improved patient care.
You will also support and supervise pharmacy support staff, ensuring the safe and timely provision of medication.
The position forms part of a team led by a Team Leader pharmacist and supported by other pharmacists and assistants/technicians. It will rotate through a variety of clinical, dispensary and production teams on an extended rotation schedule

About You
Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) (or eligible for registration within 3 months of commencement) commencement) with ability to rotate across CCLHD sites, participate in oncall, afterhours, weekend and public holiday work as required *Grade 2 Pharmacists must meet the criteria set out in the Health Employees’ Pharmacists (State) Award and are expected to continually demonstrate achievement of at least three of the five listed competencies within the Award]Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with limited supervision to meet team objectivesProven commitment to professional development, continuing education and pharmacy research, including membership of a professional pharmacy association, preferably the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA)
