You will take a lead role in operational performance reporting, establishing and maintaining data management information systems, analysing, providing and presenting statistical and other information to colleagues and stakeholders.

You will analyse demographic, socio-economic and human services data to inform regional decision making and assist in the co-ordination of regional strategic and operational planning processes. You also produce regional performance reports, undertake research and analysis of data to identify trends and issues to support regional planning and service delivery and you promote and improve data quality and information management practices across the region.

As a Senior Analyst you will:

  • Develop, implement and maintain a range of data management information systems, processes and procedures for performance reporting and analysis of regional performance and statistical data
  • Assist in the development and implementation of performance measurement and reporting frameworks that meet the long-term requirements of the department
  • Review, identify and analyse systemic trends and issues using data and local performance information from a variety of sources, and provide authoritative advice and recommend appropriate strategies to resolve performance issues
  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning, providing relevant reporting, data management and extraction from consistent and accurate sources
  • Collect and provide operational performance data and analysis as required for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support staff to use demographic, socio-economic, human services and performance data so that it contributes to effective planning and service delivery
  • Foster a work environment focused on continuous improvement through the identification and implementation of business, process and technological improvement initiatives
  • Use strong interpersonal communication skills to negotiate, establish and maintain networks and working relationships with team members, clients and stakeholders
  • Liaise and consult with relevant key staff to promote and implement data quality improvement strategies and monitor and maintain these strategies to ensure the highest level of data quality, accessibility and security.
  • Manage other projects as required or requested
