Northern Equipment is a well-established mechanical services business based in North Queensland, specialising in the servicing, repair, maintenance and hire of a wide range of equipment including cranes, forklifts, EWPs, sweepers and scrubbers.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a full-time Equipment Technician / Mechanic / Fitter for an immediate start.

About the Role

This is a hands-on position involving both workshop and onsite field service work.

Hours:

• Full time – 40 hours per week

• Monday to Friday

• $50–$65 per hour + superannuation

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance and repairs of plant and equipment

• Fault finding and diagnostics

• Workshop-based mechanical work

• Onsite breakdowns and scheduled servicing

• Completing job documentation and service reports

• Maintaining safe work practices at all times

About You

• Trade qualified or relevant mechanical experience preferred

• Experience with plant and equipment such as cranes, forklifts, EWPs or similar (highly regarded)

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Current driver’s licence

• Reliable, motivated and safety focused
