About the role
CSR is looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to lead our Somersby Hebel manufacturing operations. In this role, you'll shape the performance and future direction of the site, driving quality, safety, efficiency and innovation.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity where you'll guide a passionate team, champion continuous improvement, and create a strong performance culture. You'll use Lean principles and data-driven thinking to lift operational outcomes, support new initiatives, and ensure we deliver for our customers every day.
As a key member of the leadership team, you'll contribute to site strategy, support product innovation, manage capital projects, and help us deliver on our operational and sustainability goals. Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day site operations to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality production.
- Drive continuous improvement using lean practices, data and technology.
- Develop, coach and motivate multi-site teams to build a strong performance culture.
- Oversee quality, safety and compliance, resolving issues quickly and lifting standards.
- Manage operational budgets, control costs and identify efficiency opportunities.
- Standardise best-practice processes to ensure consistency and optimisation.
- Build constructive relationships with unions and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders.
- Champion a proactive WHS culture and drive ongoing improvements in safety and performance.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years' experience in operations, plus relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Strong understanding of Lean and Continuous Improvement, with a track record of lifting efficiency.
- Proven leadership capability with experience developing teams and managing performance across all levels.
- Skilled in budget management, cost control and delivering cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
- Experience working constructively with unions and supporting positive industrial relationships.
- Demonstrated results in driving continuous improvement and improving operational effectiveness.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to innovate, problem-solve and adapt to changing operational needs.
- Strong leadership capability, ensuring consistent standards and high performance.
