Join the team at TriandiboStud and Training Centre' as a full-time Horse Trainer based in Seville, VIC. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for training and preparing horses for competition and other equestrian events. As a vital part of our Agronomy & Farm Services team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional training and care to our horses.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and implementing customised training programs for each horse
- Conditioning horses through varied exercise regimes to improve strength, fitness and performance
- Monitoring the health and wellbeing of horses in your care and working closely with veterinarians as needed
- Educating and providing guidance to clients on proper horse care and training techniques
- Maintaining detailed records on the progress and performance of each horse
- Ensuring a safe, clean and well-organised training environment
- Collaborating with the broader farm services team to support the overall operations
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a horse trainer, ideally in a commercial setting
- Strong knowledge of equine behaviour, nutrition, health and training techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients
- Demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for the care and wellbeing of horses
- Relevant qualifications in equine studies or a related field
