Golding is looking for a Tyre Bay Supervisor to join our team at South Walker Creek mine, near Coppabella. This role will be responsible for leading our Tyre Fitting team and assisting with the daily maintenance of our mining equipment fleet. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a hands-on, proactive attitude and have proven experience in mobile maintenance supervision within a mining setting.
This role operates on a 7/7 roster, on day shifts only. Camp accommodation and meals are provided.
About the role:
- Contribute to the daily maintenance of the mining fleet.
- Coordinate resources daily according to the Weekly Maintenance Schedule.
- Provide direct supervision to Golding’s Maintenance (Tyres) employees, managing performance and behaviour in the workplace.
- Ensure activities comply with the Golding Management System and approved Project Management Plans.
- Liaise with Client representatives, Production Supervisors, and Golding Staff to ensure effective communication across the site.
- Follow Golding Systems and ensure compliance with plans and schedules.
- Build strong internal and external relationships to support project outcomes.
- Provide advice to management, support business improvement projects, and undertake additional safe duties as required.
About you:
- Trade qualification preferred; tyre fitting certification essential.
- Supervisory experience in a mining environment including S1, S2, S3, G2 Competencies.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage change, and enhance the performance, satisfaction, and skill level of all fitters.
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and delegate effectively.
- Strong mathematical and numeracy skills.
