Receptionist – Crest Medical Centre (Torquay, Hervey Bay)
Crest Medical Centre is currently seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Receptionist, working at our Torquay (Hervey Bay) clinic.

Position Overview
As a Receptionist at Crest Medical Centre, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the clinic. You will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a professional, welcoming, and supportive experience at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and professional demeanour
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations
- Answer phone calls and respond to enquiries in a courteous and professional manner
- Assist with patient registrations, Medicare and insurance verification, and payment processing
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
- Provide administrative support to doctors and clinical staff as required
Availability
You must be available to work rostered shifts between 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with possible weekend shifts as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, patient-focused approach
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with office systems
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy clinical environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare setting
