Role Overview
This role is designed for experienced in-home solar and battery closers who want to focus on selling — not chasing leads, managing installs, or dealing with backend chaos.
Solar Surge Australia has built the infrastructure most salespeople complain doesn’t exist. This position exists because that infrastructure is already in place.
If you are not currently closing solar in the home, this role will not be a fit.
Appointment Environment
All appointments are generated internally and quality-controlled before they reach you.
We operate:

A 15-person in-house door-to-door team booking solar & battery appointments

A dedicated appointment setting and confirmation team
Every appointment you attend:

Has all decision-makers present
-
We have confirmed with client requires a 60–75 minute sit-down

Meets minimum bill size and usage thresholds
-
Is vetted to remove one-leggers and tyre-kickers
If it’s in your calendar, it is intended to be closed.
Core Responsibilities

Conduct in-home solar and battery consultations

Follow a proven, structured sales process

Present system options clearly and confidently
-
Close sales during the initial appointment

Accurately complete sales documentation and CRM updates

Represent the Solar Surge Australia brand professionally
What You Will NOT Be Responsible For

Booking or confirming appointments
-
Post-sale administration
-
Managing installations
-
Handling post-install customer issues
Once a contract is signed, our sales admin and support team takes over completely.
Performance Expectations

Consistent attendance at scheduled appointments

Comfort closing in a same-day decision environment
-
Professional time management and presentation standards

Accountability for personal performance
Current consultants are consistently closing 5–7 sales per week.
Transparency & Support

Live sales dashboards showing all seen appointments

Full CRM visibility from tech review through to post-install

In-house solar and battery monitoring specialist + Ops team + Head of Installs

Post-install client assistance KPIs of within 12 hours (no clients calling you that they can't get hold of office)
Sales are not left holding problems they didn’t create.
Required Experience & Attributes

Proven in-home solar closing experience (non-negotiable)

Confident asking for the sale

Disciplined, accountable, and professional

Comfortable operating without follow-ups as a crutch
Requirements

Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence

Laptop for in-home presentations

Work Arrangement

Appointments across Gold Coast, Brisbane and Ipswich

Field-based role with flexible appointments across Gold Coast, Brisbane & Ipswich — core business days Tuesday–Saturday.
Remuneration

Uncapped commission structure

Guaranteed appointments

Earnings range $180,000 low end – $350,000+ per year, based on performance
