Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Tourism Development Officer located in Rosebank, NSW. The Tourism Development Officer will focus on fostering and promoting tourism opportunities within the East Arnhem region. Day-to-day responsibilities will include developing strategies to attract tourism, fostering relationships with local businesses and stakeholders, and identifying potential partnerships to further regional tourism goals. The role also involves conducting research into regional tourism trends, overseeing marketing and promotional campaigns, and assisting in grant applications and funding proposals.
Qualifications
Experience in Fundraising, Annual Giving, and Philanthropy, particularly in identifying and securing funding opportunitiesStrong Communication and persuasion skills to build relationships with stakeholders and promote tourism initiativesProficiency in Research to analyze industry trends and identify new tourism development opportunitiesKnowledge of tourism, economic development, or related fields is highly beneficialBachelor’s degree in Tourism, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferredProven ability to work collaboratively and independently with diverse stakeholders
