Hydraulic Fitter – Workshop & Field Based (Earthmoving & Plant)

We are currently seeking an experienced Hydraulic Fitter to join our growing team. This role involves a mix of workshop-based repairs and onsite breakdown and service work, working predominantly on excavation and heavy plant equipment.

About the Role

• Workshop-based hydraulic repairs and component overhauls

• Onsite diagnosis, repairs, and breakdown support

• Work on excavators, dozers, dump trucks, loaders and associated plant

• Hydraulic hose manufacture and replacement

• Fault finding and pressure testing

• Preventative maintenance and inspections

• Liaising with supervisors and operators to keep machines running

What We’re Looking For

• Trade qualification as a Hydraulic Fitter / Plant Mechanic / Heavy Diesel (Hydraulics focus)

• Strong experience with earthmoving and excavation equipment

• Ability to diagnose and fault-find hydraulic systems

• Experience working both independently and as part of a team

• Strong safety focus and attention to detail

• Current driver’s licence (HR advantageous but not essential)

• Ability to attend site-based work when required
