About the Role

Reporting to the Team Leader Visitor Economy the core responsibilities include:

  • Delivering outstanding service

Create a warm, welcoming experience for visitors, residents, and local businesses across the Mornington Peninsula.

  • Being responsive and adaptable

Provide accessible support through mobile, digital, and in-centre channels, working with teams and volunteers to keep services running smoothly.

  • Keeping operations on track

Manage bookings, merchandise, and office administration while helping recruit, train, and support our tourism volunteers.

  • Strengthening local tourism

Work with business operators to build their skills and deliver exceptional visitor experiences through practical programs and advice.

About You

  • Education & Experience

Previous experience in visitor servicing, tourism, or customer service roles. Proven experience with Microsoft Office suite is essential, while online booking services and retail purchasing would be an advantage.

  • Visitor economy knowledge

Knowledge of the Mornington Peninsula’s visitor economy including attractions, accommodation and other visitor assets and trends is desirable.  

  • Written & Oral Communication

Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences, influence outcomes and manage sensitive conversations.

  • Problem Solving

Ability to troubleshoot issues, adapt and deliver practical solutions.

  • People leadership

Demonstrated people leadership experience including supporting day to day supervision of casual staff and volunteers.
