We are seeking a dedicated Child and Family Practitioner to join our NEWPIN team and help deliver innovative, evidence-informed support to families across the Barwon Southwest region.
About the Role
As a Child and Family Practitioner – NEWPIN, you will:
- Deliver high-quality assertive outreach, group work, and case management services to families.
- Support families through therapeutic and educative group programs, play-based learning, and home visits.
- Strengthen parental capacity and promote healing from trauma to disrupt cycles of disadvantage.
- Collaborate with a passionate team across Meli’s Connecting, Strengthening, and Restoring Family Support streams.
- Contribute to building protective factors that enable families to thrive and lead healthy, connected lives.

- 0.9 FTE working 68 hours per week
- $101,032 p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We’re Looking For
We value professionals who bring compassion, expertise, and a commitment to early intervention. To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Early Years, Social Work, Psychology, or related Behavioural Sciences.
- Demonstrated experience in engaging with children and parents through individualised case management.
- Knowledge of the Child Youth and Family Act 2005, Child Safe Standards, and the MARAM Risk Assessment Tool.
- Strong self-management skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve program goals.
