Graphic Designer (Mid Weight)
Studio B Designs (and Art by Brooke)

Darwin, NT

Casual: 2-3 days per week

Remuneration based on experience ($40 – $60 per hour)

What We’re Looking For:

Studio B Designs is growing and we’re looking for a Mid Weight Designer (2+ Years Experience) to join our team.

We’re a Darwin based graphic design agency, made up of a small team of two. We work out of our office in Larrakeyah and spend most of our days designing brands, publications/documents, collateral, signage, factsheets, event posters and socials for small businesses, NT Government and local government departments. We are seeking a designer who loves the NT as much as we do and has a passion for making things look great! Someone who is comfortable talking directly to clients and suppliers, is able to manage their own time and understands what it takes to see a job through from beginning to end.

This position is flexible, just like us. We’re hoping for someone casual (2-3 days). Starting immediately.

Reasons you’ll love working at Studio B (and Art by Brooke):

  • WFH options

  • Flexible hours

  • Small, close team

  • Every day & project is different with lots of unique opportunities

  • Learn from two highly skilled designers

  • We also run Art by Brooke & get to flex those creative muscles even further

  • Boss who believes we should work to live, not live to work

  • Collaborate with some really fun people (our clients) and attend fun events

Roles & Responsibilities include

  • Designing collateral, factsheets, posters, campaign material, social media, maps, publications/reports, packaging, promotional items/merchandise, event material like pullup banners and some illustration work (if skilled)

  • Liaising with clients directly, managing workload and delegating tasks where necessary

  • Assisting the team with branding projects from concept to completion (including comprehensive Strategy and styleguides) as well as leading smaller brand projects

  • Communicate with printers/suppliers and manage production

  • Packaging products for Art by Brooke, helping with deliveries and creating fun content as we build this second brand

  • Happily swing between working on Studio B client work and Art by Brooke items.

Confused? Come have a coffee and we’ll explain the ins and outs of the business(es)!

Things we’d like to see:

  • Ability to work autonomously, receive and digest client briefs (and feedback!) in order to see a task from start to finish

  • Excellent proficiency in Adobe Suite

  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills (with team, clients and suppliers)

  • Illustration Skills (not necessary, but a bonus!)

  • Previous design work (please send portfolio)

  • Ability to work across multiple briefs on any given day (things move very quickly in here)!

  • Understanding of Canva and Word (I know, sadly we have to use these for clients on occasion)

  • Connection to the NT

Remuneration based on experience ($40-$60 per hour), starting immediately.

Applications close Friday 17th October at 5pm
