Are you a highly focused individual that takes action to prevent incidents with a focus on non-clinical risk and safety?  TDN is a not-for-profit organisation with a long and proud history, dedicated to helping Tasmanians age and live well in their own home for as long as possible. We’re looking for a Part Time (0.5 FTE) Regulatory & Compliance Officer to safeguard and protect TDN clients receiving a wide range of services.

Key responsibilities

As a Regulatory & Compliance Officer, you will:

  • Assist staff in understanding and complying with non-clinical, risk, and safety obligations under relevant legislation and standards.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of the organisation’s Quality Management Framework and Provider Governance processes.
  • Support the organisation’s readiness for audits, reviews and external assessments.
  • Provide support, advice, education and mentoring to staff in relation to compliance requirements.
  • Assist the Quality & Compliance Manager with the implementation of any recommendations arising from accreditation.
  • Provide training and guidance on feedback and incident management processes.
  • Develop and maintain compliance-related documentation in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support governance committees with documentation, insights and compliance updates.
  • Assist ensuring contractors, suppliers, and partners meet compliance obligations.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking someone who has:

  • A Tertiary qualification in law, business, public administration, risk management or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in compliance, governance, or regulatory roles within complex service environments.
  • Experience working with quality programs and quality frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and the NDIS Quality and Safety Framework.
  • Experience preparing reports or documentation for executive or board-level governance committees.

Postgraduate qualifications or certifications in compliance, governance, risk or ethics is a plus!
