About YouWe are currently seeking experienced, motivated and driven mechanics to join our team in Carnarvon to assist with Workshop and Field Based operations. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience working on a variety of equipment, ranging from:Commercial vehiclesOn-Highway road transport and related equipmentCivil and mining machinery including excavators, dozers, graders and loadersCranes, ranging from frannas to crawler cranesMarine equipment such as recreational and commercial vessels (trawlers & dredges)Ancillary equipment including lighting plant and generators Experience with hydraulics and electrical components (preferred)
You will be responsible for:Performing mechanical diagnostics on the above machineryOverhauls of transmission components, engines, steering, gearboxes and differential systemsReading and understanding service manuals and proceduresUtilitise service inspection forms to diagnose and detect defective componentsPerforming scheduled servicing and maintenance Attending break downsUse of scan tools to perform diagnostics Perform inspections for roadworthy verificationDemonstrating strong problem solving skills, attention to detail & working independently
Required QualificationsCertificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)Minimum 5 years of experience in diesel engine maintenance and repairHR/MR driver’s license (preferred but not essential)Forklift Licence (preferred)Unlimited right to work in Australia
