Position summary
RAMP coordinators are experts at family violence risk assessment, are MARAM trained and
experienced to provide expert analysis of current, ongoing and future risk posed by adults who
use violence.
A Risk Assessment and Management Panel (RAMP) is a formally convened meeting of
several key agencies and organisations at a local Wimmera level. Member agencies include
Victoria Police, Corrections Victoria, Department Families, Fairness and Housing, Specialist
Family Violence Services, Men’s Behaviour Change services, Child protection, Alcohol and
Other Drug services, Mental Health services and other services connected with the support
of people experiencing family violence.
The RAMP Coordinator provides administrative and operational support in line with the RAMP
Operational Requirements
- be a contact point for referring agencies and provide secondary consultation advice on
RAMP eligibility as requested.
- complete work with referring agencies and seek further evidence to support undertaking
a preliminary assessment of referrals against the RAMP eligibility criteria to put forward
recommendations for consideration of the Co-chairs.
- provide administrative support to the RAMP, including managing RISS, providing full
and accurate data and information collection that includes referral information and
meeting records (minutes, risk assessment and action plans).

RAMPs are regularly convened to comprehensively and collaboratively assess the safety of
highest risk victims of family violence, and to develop coordinated Action Plans for
participating agencies to undertake to keep women and children safe, and to increase
perpetrator accountability.

RAMP service Delivery
• The RAMP Coordinator provides administrative and operational support in line with the
RAMP Operational Requirements
- Implement and monitor local area RAMP compliance with RAMP Operational Requirements
2024 with support of Co-chairs and RAMP Statewide Coordinator and in collaboration with
RAMP members.
- Provide secondary consultation to external agencies and professionals on individual case
referral eligibility to RAMP.
- Provide project reporting and evaluation data (internal and to funding bodies)
- Schedule all RAMP regular meetings in consultation with Co-chairs including RAMP Pre-
- Provide advice and case recommendation on the level of risk, eligibility, current safety and
risk management plans and their effectiveness, highlight any concerns and identified
barriers to safety to Co-chairs at the RAMP pre meeting
- Develop and deliver RAMP training, information and/or workshops to local area non-
government and government agencies community that enhances understanding of RAMP
including eligibility that promotes referrals connectedness between service system and
agencies.
- Apply different engagement methods and strategies to reach diverse and hard to reach
audiences such as regularly attend identified network meetings or activities, schedule
regular catch-up meetings, webinar, forums etc.
- Provide administrative support to RAMP that ensures effective and sustainable delivery of
RAMP in accordance with RAMP Operational Requirements, MARAM and Information
Sharing Schemes.
- Support RAMP member organisations to build capability and capacity in meeting their
obligations as described in the RAMP Operational Requirements.
- Induct all RAMP members to RAMP, including training on RISS and registration of members
attendance at RAMP trainings delivered by RAMP Statewide Coordinator.
- Document all activities of RAMP as described RAMP Operational Requirements and RISS
Operational Guidelines.
- Undertake analysis of RAMP needs to identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities for
established and new statewide and local initiatives
- Develop effective working relationships with a wide range of key government and non-

- Proactively engage with and support RAMP Community of Practice and other statewide
RAMP activities
- Proactively manage and report on risks and concerns relating to RAMP operational
- Provide Quarterly Report to FSV as outlined in the Performance
- Support and participate in the RAMP Bi-annual Quality Improvement Processes and other
activities that support RAMP continuous improvement objectives.
- Work within and contribute to a culture based on an intersectional feminist framework, as
set out in the Code of Practice: Principles and Standards for Specialist Family Violence
Services for Victim-Survivors, that recognises all family and gender-based violence has its
roots in patriarchal and structural inequalities.

Qualifications
• Working towards the new mandatory minimum qualifications policy requirement, via one of

• Proven industry experience of minimum two years.
- Exceptionally organised and high performing individual.
- Demonstrated experience working with government, statutory and community sector
agencies.
Demonstrated skills, experience and/or understanding of:
• A comprehensive understanding of family violence and the key drivers of violence against
- Organising professional meetings including preparing documentation, case files,
- Working independently and deciphering principal information
- Demonstrated attention to detail with well-developed administrative and organisational
skills to effectively manage high volumes of work and determine priorities, meet targets
and deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of computer software, including Microsoft Office
- High level verbal and written communication skills that enable effective and appropriate
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to positive workplace culture and practices.
