What will you be doing?

Our Host employer is a business working in the Murraylands, producing high-quality portable buildings.

You will undertake a variety of tasks, including:

• Work with a team of dedicated qualified carpenters and apprentices on custom projects
• Use power tools, e.g. electric/battery drills, power saws, routers, sanders, planners, laser levelling devices and nail guns
• Comply with local building codes and work health and safety regulations
• Use your maths skills to take measurements, calculate areas and quantities

• A genuine interest in carpentry and construction, particularly steel frame methods
• A focus on health and safety and the ability to maintain a safe work environment
• A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Experience as a team player through employment or team sports
• A positive attitude to new challenges, pride in your work and a willingness to learn
• Above average physical fitness and well-developed hand-eye coordination
• Great communication skills and openness to work alongside others
• Completed more than 10 units of competency towards your Certificate III in Carpentry.
