We are currently seeking a Grain Handler for an immediate start at our site in Donald, VIC (working at other nearby sites as required) on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The core activities of a grain handler include: Sampling/receiving grain at site (spearing using automatic or manual spears and then testing for protein, moisture and contaminants against specifications, entering data into our system) Monitoring the flow of grain from truck unloading and onto hopper, auger or other equipment Protecting and storing grain in bunkers or permanent silo storage (includes building, breaking-down and tarping bunkers) Sweeping, shovelling, blowing down dust and other general housekeeping activities including site presentation Operating equipment including augers, tractors, hoppers, loaders. About your experience
Candidates will have prior experience in grain handling or general labouring. A current drivers licence is an essential requirement, other licences such as front end loader ticket will be advantageous.
