The Team:

The Team is located at Repatriation Centre. Work as a member on various Units within the Peacock building providing high quality services to all patients.

The Role:

The Hospital Assistant acts as a member of a team and performs the duties consistent with quality improvement, general housekeeping, porterage and catering duties to patients within the relevant Units.

You will need:

Demonstrated knowledge of, and/or experience in, food, kitchen and personal hygiene.Demonstrated knowledge of, and an ability to, lift patients within manual handling guidelines and legislation.Ability to provide, and/or have experience in, cleaning services in a hospital or large organisation environment with knowledge of infection control practices and guidelines.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for a 12-month period.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $63,110 to $66,049 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
