Job Title: Animal Assistant (Dog Walking/Pet Care)

Location: Colo Vale to Bundanoon NSW

Employment Type:** Casual (Including weekend shifts)

Are you a passionate animal lover with experience in the pet care industry? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Animal Assistant on a Casual basis. This role focuses on dog walking and pet care.

Main duties/responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform daily routines for animals including feeding, watering, grooming, and exercise.
• Cleaning enclosures, bedding and equipment.
• Provide quality customer service, including handling drop-offs and pick-ups.
• Monitor animal health and behaviour, promptly reporting any concerns to the supervisor.
• Maintain clean and sanitary animal living spaces, ensuring adherence to workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• Handle administrative duties such as providing carer updates, taking photos of client’s pets and responding to inquiries
• Other tasks as directed by management
• This role will be working with cats, dogs, horses (bonus points for experience with horses), poultry, rodents and more.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in the animal industry is essential, along with references.
• Must be experienced with reactive dogs and relatively fit, as the role involves physical activity.
• Strong time management and communication skills are a must.
• Must have your own car and a valid driver's license of P plates or higher
• Willingness to obtain a police check.
• Availability to work on public holidays, including Christmas (public holiday shifts are capped at 3-4 hours).
• Job training will be provided, including a pet first aid course.
