Pilbara Bakehouse is seeking qualified Bakers, who are passionate, enthusiastic, reliable and responsible with strong, diverse and has great skill sets in the art of making bread with diverse experiences.

Major Tasks and Duties:

· Checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before & after production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

· Checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients to ensure there is no contamination or foreign objects.

· Kneading, maturing, cutting, molding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods.

· Preparing pastry fillings.

· Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times.

· Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products.

· Glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing.

· Operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits.

· Emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills:

· Trade Qualification or equivalent is a minimum requirement.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Baker.

· Strong skills in the production of pastries, bread and other baked goods preferred.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task.

· Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment.

· Experience in similar role.

· Have sound knowledge on all bakery equipment including mixing and ovens;

· Experience with measuring and mixing ingredients to form dough or batter, following recipes.

· Strong work ethic;.

· Ability to work efficiently in a steady paced environment.

· Attention to detail
