About The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist 2 Child and Family Health (CNS2CFH) in Wagga Wagga to join us in this crucial role to act as an entry point into the community health care system, supporting an integrated multidisciplinary service response based on individual client and family needs. As the CNS2CFH you will be responsible for:
Act as a resource person and leader for child and family health staff with a particular focus on provision of care to vulnerable families and their children.Attend professional development opportunities and further develop skills and knowledge in child and family health.Disseminate information and current best practice relevant to child and family health staff and managers.Participate in the provision of education relevant to child and family health.Participate in health promotion and promotion of child and family health nursing services. Advise and participate in appropriate early intervention, assessments, and referral to services and programs.Participate in the development and review of policies and clinical practice.Contribute to care coordination and case management of vulnerable families and their children.Provision of support to child and family health managers and CNC. Build and maintain relationships with service providers and establish effective referral pathways.Collect and report on service events as required, maintain confidentiality and accurate health care documentation.

About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), with demonstrated evidence to meet the NMBA's Registered Nurse standards for practice and meet the NMBA approved standards, codes, guidelines and frameworks commensurate with the position. A NSWWWC and national police check.Post graduate qualifications and at least 3 years full-time equivalent clinical experience in the specialty of child and family health and current accreditation as a Nurse ImmuniserDemonstrated continuous quality improvement with the ability to comprehensively conduct assessments, develop a plan for nursing practice, provide safe, appropriate and responsive quality nursing practice, and evaluate outcomes to inform nursing practice.Demonstrated competencies in and/or knowledge of the complexities and challenges involved in caring for individuals and their family, in the specific area of employment.Demonstrated engagement in therapeutic and professional relationships, communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team in a rural health setting.Ability to think critically and analyse nursing practice, with a willingness to provide leadership, embrace change and be a change agent in the coordination and delivery of care.Demonstrated commitment to own professional development to maintain, improve and broaden knowledge, expertise and competence, capability and develop the personal and professional qualities required using research and evidence-based practice reflecting an understanding of contemporary matters.Class C Drivers Licence and willingness to travel for work purposes. This may involve driving long distances with the MLHD
