Your New Role
Classroom and learning support (CLS) is a dedicated service that provides a range of resources and assistance to students with disabilities and additional learning needs. It aims to create an inclusive learning environment where all students can reach their full potential. CLS staff work closely with classroom teachers to identify and address students' needs, providing tailored support and strategies. This may include direct instruction, small group work, assistive technology, and behavior management techniques. CLS also offers professional development to teachers, helping them implement effective inclusive practices.

Selection Criteria
Commitment to the ethos of the Catholic Church. Certificate III/IV in Education Support Assist teachers and students both inside and outside Learning Spaces. Assist with the supervision of small groups and/or individual students on activities, as directed by the teacher. Undertake specific tasks with individuals or small groups of students under the guidance of the teacher. Support the students and/or teachers in the use of technology. Assist students with physical and mobility challenges.NSW Working with Children CheckSuccessful candidate to undergo a National Criminal History Check and Functional Assessment Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve.
Deseribale Criteria
Proven communication and interpersonal skills with both adults and children. An understanding of general educational processes and methods. An understanding of general health and safety requirements. Proven capacity to work as part of a team and be adaptable and flexible. Proven capacity to work independently. Established skills of creativity, initiative and good judgement. Proven capacity to work with children with high and/or additional needs. A good standard of numeracy and literacy with personal skills of accuracy, precision, organisation and planning.
