The opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Insurance professional to join our team as a Product Specialist – Short tail.
Your new role
Supporting the National Product Manager – Property, you’ll be responsible for providing technical support, assisting with pricing strategies, and holistic portfolio analysis to ensure profitable growth. The products in this portfolio are Property, Motor and Engineering.
Responsibilities include:

Support innovation and growth in the business.

Support the development and delivery of new processes, products, and tools to improve efficiency and profitability.

Work with stakeholders to bring projects to fruition.
-
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders.

Contribute to the ongoing review and updating of Underwriting Rules, including communication of risk appetite.
-
Contribute to the ongoing review and updating of existing products.
-
Monitoring and analysis of portfolio results and individual product performance, identifying trends and opportunities, and working with stakeholders to maximise an opportunity, or take corrective action as necessary.

Ensuring adequate pricing, underwriting standards and appropriate risk acceptance.

Assist with technical audits.

Managing product and rate governance requirements.

About you
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

5+ years of commercial underwriting experience.

Strong knowledge of risk and portfolio management.

A proactive mindset with adaptability and ownership.

Effective planning, budgeting, and negotiation skills.

Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
-
Clear communication across all levels of the organisation.
-
Advanced Excel skills (preferred).
