About the role:

We are seeking a hands-on, reliable, and motivated Pontoon Caretaker to join our team at Moore Reef. This unique role is based offshore on our reef pontoon, working a roster of 4 days / 3 nights.

Candidates must be comfortable staying overnight on the pontoon for multiple consecutive nights as this is an essential requirement for the role.

As the Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, security, and upkeep of the pontoon, ensuring smooth daily operations and providing support to visiting crew and guests. This position requires someone who enjoys working independently in a marine environment, is proactive in problem-solving, and takes pride in keeping facilities in excellent condition.

What you'll be doing:

  • Maintenance and upkeep of our pontoon infrastructure

  • Assisting with the cleaning and maintenance of our pontoon vessels - Glass Bottom Boat and Semi-Submersible

  • Performing daily and monthly vessel checks

  • Monitor weather conditions and report any issues to the operations team

  • Ensure the safety and security of the pontoon, specially overnight

About you:

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • A current Coxswain Grade 1 certificate or higher

  • A current Provide First Aid certificate

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Ability to work independently

  • A professional approach with high standards of grooming and presentation

  • The right to live and work in Australia

  • A minimum of 1-2 years marine/maritime industry experience
