About You

Degree qualified in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Special Education, or a related discipline

Registered with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner | Core, Proficient, or Advanced level

Minimum 2 years’ experience in behaviour support, with demonstrated capacity to develop both interim and comprehensive PBSPs.

In-depth knowledge of restrictive practices legislation, authorisation processes, and reporting obligations.

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports for participants, families, and the NDIS Commission.

Current Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and valid driver’s licence
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) and behavioural observations in line with NDIS Practice Standards.

Develop and implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) that are evidence-based, participant-focused, and consistent with Restrictive Practices Authorisation frameworks for New South Wales and Queensland.
Ensure compliance with NDIS reporting requirements, including:

Lodging interim PBSPs within 1 month of restrictive practice use.

Developing and submitting comprehensive PBSPs within 6 months, with regular review and updates.

Monitor, evaluate, and adjust behaviour support strategies to align with participant goals, outcomes, and Commission reporting obligations

Provide training, coaching, and guidance to families, carers, and support staff to ensure effective plan implementation.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, best-practice supports.

Prepare and maintain professional, auditable documentation and reports in line with NDIS Commission standards.

Deliver behaviour support services in a variety of settings | community, Supported Independent Living, office with travel as required
